| We are told in several places that our Grable and Garber ancestors were German speaking Swiss or Germans from the Palatinate. The Palatinates today are the states of Bavaria(Upper) and Rhineland-Palatinate(Lower) We believe the Grables immigrated to America around 1750- our Garbers came earlier. They were German Baptist.
